Studio Two Three, 109 W 15th St, Richmond, VA 23224, USA

Join Nowhere Cinema in celebrating the films of Alfonso Cuarón with a screening of 2018's Roma!

Quite possibly the most beautiful black and white film of the modern era, Roma is Alfonso Curaón's magnum opus. It's a deeply personal film, with images and moments of Cuarón's childhood directly replicated onscreen.

At the Academy Awards, Roma won Best International Film, Best Cinematographer, and Best Director (Cuarón's 2nd!). Despite its pickup by Netflix, Roma demands to be seen on the big screen!

This screening will be subtitled.

CW: Roma (2018) contains depictions of gun violence and childbirth. If you have any questions, please send us an email at nowherecinema@pm.me!

We love Studio Two Three so much. They've been a gracious host and home for Nowhere Cinema over the last year. Moreso, they are the community builders in Richmond. Their free event space allows so many local organizations to gather and share cool things with Richmonders. So... it's due time that we hold a fundraiser for our favorite Richmond nonprofit. For the event space, there are aspirations of new chairs! And the projector is in process of being repaired. Let's help them! 100% of ticket proceeds for this screening go to Studio Two Three.

In 2026, Nowhere Cinema has transitioned to licensed screenings to build toward long-term sustainability and eventually open our own space. Tickets are pay-what-you-can with a $6 minimum. If the ticket price is a barrier for you, email nowherecinema@pm.me and we'll make sure you can attend.
