Join Nowhere Cinema in the Weird West for a screening of Bacurau!

Directors Kleber Mendonça Filho and Juliano Dornelles released Bacurau in 2019, during a period of serious democratic backsliding in Brazil. The film reflects that moment without being a document of it. The village faces recognizable threats of deprivation and violence.
This screening will be subtitled.
CW: Bacurau (2019) includes scenes of animal death, drug use, gun violence, and flashing lights. If you have any questions, please send us an email at nowherecinema@pm.me!
