Dream Warriors is a standout in the Freddy Krueger franchise. After the disappointing result of A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, the studios brought back Wes Craven to write the third installment and hired a fresh face as the director-- Chuck Russell, who went on to direct The Blob (1988) and The Mask (1994). Dream Warriors also brought on a killer new cast, including a debut performance by Patricia Arquette (Boyhood, Severance) and Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix, Deep Cover).
Freddy Kreuger films are known for their incredibly creative kill scenes, often wrought with humor, and Dream Warriors has plenty. This installment also includes a great score from Angelo Badalamenti (Twin Peaks).
This screening will be subtitled.
